Kevin Neal is the founding and lead pastor of Discovering Purpose Church. He has been preaching and involved in ministry since the age 16 and has ministered across the United States and Europe. He holds a BA in Pastoral Ministry from Bethany Divinity College and Seminary, an MA in Ministry from Mercer University. He also holds degrees in Information Systems and Computer Network Engineering from Strayer University and Westwood College.
Kevin has trained with the number one leadership expert in the world, John Maxwell, to become a certified Coach, Teacher, and Speaker with the John Maxwell Team. He is honored to serve as a Chaplain with Marketplace Ministries, touching lives in the corporate environment. A musician, singer and songwriter, he has written and arranged songs for national gospel artists. Kevin has served in several ministry leadership positions in churches both in the US and in Europe. His focus is to equip and inspire others to become leaders in their own context and maximize their unique gifts and talents.
For the last 20 years Kevin has worked in the corporate environment as a Technology Design Engineer and has held other leadership positions within AT&T. He ultimately looks forward to the opportunity to devote all of his time and energy to the work of the ministry.
Kevin lives in Suwanee, GA with his beautiful wife of 36 years, Patricia. They have four adult children (Candace, Christian, Chiandria, and Crystal). He considers his greatest achievement to be in the role of father and husband of the blessed family that God has allowed him to a part of and to help nurture.
Patricia Neal is the wife and partner of our Lead Pastor. She is an ESL Teacher and has served in public school systems in Mississippi, Germany, Texas, and for the last 26 years, in Dekalb County, GA. She has worked in partnership with her husband for over 36 years. Patricia has a keen spiritual insight into the lives of others. She is a certified Life and Leadership Coach and loves to help people become their best and reach their potential. She is gifted with an open and compassionate spirit that reaches out to those who are hurting and troubled. Her gifts of teaching and coaching are apparent in her exchanges with everyone she connects with. She is a blessing to her family, friends, and the body of Christ at large. Her most fulfilling joy is that of family; her husband and four adult children, Candace, Christian, Chiandria, and Crystal.
